These Waters

These Waters – My name is Jonathan Smit, I’m a 25 year old filmmaker from Christchurch, New Zealand.

I’m in the process of filming a local short film (20mins) in length called These Waters.

Based around the rugged coast lines of the South Island following local surfers in their element.

The idea of the film is to focus on local talent and in a way being thankful for the beautiful country we live in.

Never stop exploring will be a regular theme throughout the film.

We are going on a week long trip down to the Catlins on the 6th July where a large portion of the film will be shot.
