Tabitha Lipkin’s Travel Reel
Come with me around the world for laughs and adventure… It’s like a 70/30 split. Okay, more like a 60/40 situation.
Television Reporter. Dive Master. World Traveler. Jetpack Instructor. Adventurer. Sailor.
If you’re looking to get to know me, buy me a beer! If you’re too far to do that, then this page will be put to good use. I’m a native Texan and a 20-12 graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelors of Journalism. Since graduation I’ve had the pleasure of working with some of the best people in the business. During School, I took internships at both Conan on TBS and The Colbert Report before finally landing a job as a reporter in California. My background is rather diverse. I’ve worked in every industry from Real Estate Agent to Bartender, Zipline Tour Guide to Production Coordinator. But of course my true passion is finding the adventure in life… and so far I feel like I’m off to a good start.
You see, I get a kick out of telling stories. The world is a beautiful place… and although we may all be different, we all share the common bond of humanity. My journey started out a lot like yours. Each day in middle school I had to wake up very early each morning to catch the bus. Every single day I would make breakfast, gather my school clothes, and watch the “Today Show”. I was difficult not to daydream that I was there on Easter Island or out speaking with Olympians. I couldn’t wait to travel the world and share the adventure that awaits. Today my goals are the same, but now I don’t have to wait until after recess to make it happen.
I currently work as a national television news anchor and I host my own Show on Fox Sports San Diego called Keepin’ Tabs With Tabitha Lipkin. Much of my time is split between finding adventures on private islands, getting back on the anchor desk in time for my weekend shows, and putting together my next episode of Keepin’ Tabs.
Scuba diving is one of my favorite pastimes. Most recently I was crowned as Miss Scuba International 2014 and to me, it was another incredible year that afforded me the ability to explore the world and share my knowledge of marine conservation. My love of scuba diving hasn’t stopped there and every chance I get, I take a moment to adventure under the surface and explore the last frontier on earth… our oceans.
