Born in Tauranga, started surfing at aged 11 at whangamata during the summer when I found a surfboard in a shed and asked dad if I could try it and I’ve been hooked ever since.
The reason I surf is because the feeling is like no other and you can’t control the conditions so every wave is different. The social side of surfing is also really good because I get to meet new people at new places.
I compete all around NZ and do a few competitions internationally. I compete because I like the sense of achievement and also being a competitive surfer allows me to push my surfing so I can become a better surfer.
